Yes, it’s illegal. Like changing it to Department of War, like ten thousand other things. Part of the Trump strategy is to break the law and convey “the rule of law is weak and feminine and laughable and should be overridden by Our Guy.” Trump is fundamentally anti-law.

Their Christian morals are right there: the unsaved are doomed, the godless get their justly deserved punishment. And if they are saved, they will meet their reward in heaven after the administration kills them.

As we head toward the holiday season, I'd like to remind everyone that jokes are optional at family gatherings. A family can have a perfectly lovely gathering in which no one teases any other member of the family.

Someone's reaction to a joke that hurts them isn't what "ruins" the gathering.

runj no longer depends on jail(8) and directly makes syscalls to set up the jail! I learned about some interesting quirks of the jail syscalls while doing this porting work and wrote it up:

When a Stranger Syscalls: Quirks of jail(2)
runj is an OCI runtime for FreeBSD jails. Until recently, it relied on the jail(8) command to actually set up and manage the jail in the FreeBSD kernel. It had been a to-do item on my list for a long ...

runj 0.2.0 is out, now with the OCI Runtime Spec 1.3.0! This release officially models jails and represents a significant step toward bridging FreeBSD jails with the container ecosystem.

Also, runj could use some additional contributors 😀

They don't have an answer, because they don't ask the question.

It is 2025. If you are a Democratic Party operative in 2025 and you aren't even looking into media ownership and propaganda effects, then you are either a conman or a mark.

(6) This idea that democrats should abandon trans people and immigrants and climate change (in 2025!) is just unconscionably dumb.

Declaring “I’m focused on prescription drug prices” sounds like pandering because it IS pandering. Everyone can tell.

Try standing for something. See how it feels.

Great explainer as to why the Shoah is so specifically associated with Jews, even as millions of others were targeted and murdered.

Antisemitism isn't the belief that Jews are evil. It's the belief that evil is Jewish - every evil in your midst goes back to the Jews and evil must be rooted out.
Yes. Unfortunately a lot of people ask that question not in good faith.

The answer is that the Nazis killed a lot of people but specifically targeted Jews and Roma for immediate and organized murder. Lots of Slavs were murdered but in a much more haphazard way.

The FreeBSD extensions got merged into the OCI Runtime Spec today! This is another step on the way to bringing the container ecosystem to FreeBSD. runj will add support for this soon (most of the work is already done): github.com/opencontaine...
Add FreeBSD as a platform by dfr · Pull Request #1286 · opencontainers/runtime-spec
This uses FreeBSD jails to implement container isolation.

Oh it’s not appropriate for your program to air the president wearing a crown and shitting on American citizens?

You’ll talk about it in euphemisms? Maybe call it the “crown video” and ignore the shitting part? Because that’s appropriate?

Tell me, was it appropriate for the president to do it?
