One of my favorite movies is Bull Durham. It’s got an Oscar-nominated screenplay & it’s a rom-com about baseball. This book by the writer & director was a terrific read, full of fun facts about his coming up in the minor leagues in the 1960s & a lot of behind the scenes of making the film!

One of the men who raped Giséle Pelicot decided to appeal his conviction and nine-year sentence.

I’m trying to feel helpful & remind folks that there are fall elections, including a very important one here in California. I know writing letters won’t change the world but I do know that words have power & I’m working with @votefwd.bsky.social to harness that power for good & for change.

Highly recommend doing something fun for yourself this weekend. This morning we went to a fall succulent workshop at a nursery. For an hour we were just focused on what little plant goes best where and how not to burn our fingers with the hot glue. Bonus: it was rainy! We got a little wet! In LA!
