Australia is a 2 speed economy. The haves jetset overseas for their ski trips and europhotos. The have nots worry how they'll pay next week's rent as they pump their last $5 into the 15yo Mazda so they can get to their 2nd casual job for the night.

one has to wonder why Andrew Podger keeps defending Renée Leon against the findings of the APSC code of conduct which found she breached the code due to her handling of robodebt, which is also what royal commission found. He keeps arguing for ‘context’ but leaves a lot out in his repeated attempts

Australia needs a political party to serve the people in regional areas, to represent them on pressing issues of climate change, dangerous heat, food prices, water use, health & maternity care access, fire-fighting, arts budgets & transport issues. We could call it, I dunno, the Country Party?
