Today is my dear friend Tim’s birthday. Here is a shot from the film he made during lockdown about Scottish raves that I was able to screen at our little film festival in Seyðisfjörður and which made the whole audience long to go dancing. I dreamt about him last night. I miss him so much.

I find it very strange how a legal decision which relates solely to gender recognition certificates – something under 18s definitively cannot have – is being used to justify changes to longstanding policies on including trans kids.

Had a very difficult day due to Avanti West Coast (the standard horror) and then mum's advancing dementia and then the storm - arrived like a drowned hamster - soaked to the skin, but had night with her watching an old Celebrity Masterchef, and she was so tickled that I knew Susie who knew Iwan.
