One of the people who most instrumental in turning lies into reality was handed the keys to the kingdom -- and rather than having TSC access to what is ACTUALLY REAL, has chosen to go back to bullshitting people on his podcast.

Let that sink in. The motivation of the MAGA political influencer.

Massive defeat for Mike Johnson. Still has to clear the senate, but this is what Dems wanted all along. Johnson has essentially lost control of the gavel after Epstein and now this. Weakest speaker in history.

Keep in mind, Rick Scott is literally the biggest Medicare fraudster of all time, his company had to pay a $1.7 Billion fine.
COLLINS: Do you disagree with Trump's pardon of the former Honduran leader who was also indicted and convicted?

RICK SCOTT: I don't -- I never -- I never met the guy and I don't know anything about it

COLLINS: But do you approve of that pardon?

SCOTT: I don't know much about it

COLLINS: Ok

Susie Wiles is one of the most brilliant political operators in the business, having guided DeSantis and then Trump to significant victories, and the idea that she doesn't know how 'on the record' worked is like saying a pilot doesn't know how to land a plane.
CNN suggests Susie Wiles might not have known she was on the record 😆

This…is not economics
Vance: "Why have rents gone down for 4 consecutive months? Because we're starting to get those illegal aliens out of the USA. Those criminals, those gang members, those people that are taking homes that ought by right go the people in this room. It's simple economics."

"That’s ridiculous. I wouldn’t have said it and I wouldn’t know."

GOP Sen. Markwayne Mullin says Trump’s post about Rob Reiner wasn’t controversial or distasteful, claiming Trump was respectful, praised his talent, and ended by wishing him peace. Meanwhile, even some of Trump’s most loyal supporters say it crossed a line.

When reporters don’t challenge obvious bad faith, they don’t just miss a moment. They enable it.
The fact that not a single reporter tells Mike Johnson “let me read it for you” or “here it is” when he claims he hasn’t seen or doesn’t know a thing about the psychotic ramblings of the head of state is not only a dereliction of journalistic duty, but a display of pure cowardice.

What's SO galling about this argument is that it's just an unoriginal regurgitation of scare tactics that have worked (!) in the US, with no attempt at all to make them logical or relevant to this situation. A 50-year-old man was galvanised by uni protests? It's tired and transparent and ugly.
Australia's opposition leader is already blaming the mass murder in Bondi on university campus anti-genocide protests.

Blaming exactly the wrong causes for political reasons will lay the groundwork for even more gun violence slipping through, in Australia.
