I know that if one of the ICE agents who shot and killed Alex Pretti were injured and brought in to the same hospital where Alex worked . . . the nurses there would still care for that officer as if they were from their own family. Because that's what nurses do.

People are right to be incensed, but there are more names to uplift. ICE killed an immigrant man named Silverio Villegas González in Chicagoland. He had children. Victor Manuel Diaz was kidnapped in Minneapolis and died in ICE custody on January 14. Their names deserve to be repeated, too.

I know Will wasn’t the first to say it, but I cant stop thinking about “we will never have as many guns as they have/they will never have as many people as we have” and how easy that makes it to pick a strategy

Observers have been working day and night to protect these neighborhoods from ICE, make the streets safe so kids can go to school and people can go to their jobs. Burning down the street undoes all our work. The people setting fires haven’t been putting in long hours watching plates or doors.

For each murder they aren't held accountable they will become increasingly emboldened. Since they are his personal goon squad there is no hope the federal forces will stop them. States so far seem unwilling to do more than talk. Local cops are protecting them. Things are going get much worse
