I appreciate being called Miss Mint by everyone, but my deadname is so plain I'm not sure how it got that reaction. Maybe I look too exciting to be so boring? Maybe she has an ex named that?

So there is a theory that complex traumagenic conditions like DID "release" trauma at the time in which you are ready to handle them, because other stressors are low and your capacity is there.
And til then you _mostly_ dissociate when triggered, rather than deeper response.

All of the annoyances of HRT felt a bit affirming to me except for this limerance phase where my love feels a bit obsessive, I am incapable of feeling loved back, and I am unreasonably angry at past me for any perceived wrong I ever performed towards the target of my limerance... my spouse.
