One thing I've learned from using real pics as reference:
Proper anatomy can still look weird depending on the angle.
As you can see, her entire left arm looks odd from this angle and pose.
That's why sometimes we need to "break" the anatomy a bit to make it look more interesting in art.

Yahoo Clubs/Groups, and I don't remember how I got there. You could upload pics to group folders and have a main page pic, you could even use an animated .gif for that.

There was a Capcom club that used the Super Street Fighter II classroom artwork, first time I ever saw that art.

I stippled on random shades of brown, focusing the brightest tones in an arch around each window. I wanted to leave the area beneath each window mostly in shadow.

Than a few super thin washes of Khorne Red to let the mottled brick texture show through. Now to edge highlight the corners.

As explained in The NES Endings Compendium - Vol. 1: 1985-89 (which I reviewed here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH6s... ), there are three endings to Castlevania II: Simon's Quest (NES) that are dependent on how fast you beat it, but the endings seem to be mixed up.
