Student media rules. They are lapping a lot of the spineless media orgs this year and showing how solidarity is the way.

“if it’s a martin luther style non violent protest that breaks out, i will be at the frontlines,” says elizabeth shaffer
We clearly disagree, yeah.
I really thinking you are misreading his post.
I’m sorry, but saying that biking is a great way to get more exercise is very different than saying you need to get more exercise. You is a common way to address an audience and in this case it’s clear to me he meant the first meaning.
Bill was talking about his own experience as a way to show one of the benefits of biking? Kind of a weird thing to be offended about!
One thing that could be a selling point is the idea that you can take public transportation home if you plan to be drinking. The problem is that with the current schedules, that's not really a viable option usually.
That and also cost/availability of parking (i.e. in the two downtowns during game/event nights, or in certain neighborhoods.)
Jeez

BREAKING: the 2025 Noble Prize in Chemistry has been awarded to DuPont, 3M and Daikin “for the development and deployment of PFAS: a family of infinitely sustainable chemicals”. As these now-ubiquitous chemicals never decompose, they can be reused for generations to come.

Update— DHS Asst. Secretary Tricia McLaughlin just doxed the 13-year-old who was taken by ICE, sharing a copy of a police report on X with his full name and photo visible.

She’s trying to prove the disputed claim that he had a gun. I’ve reached out to the city. I will not be sharing the post here.

Underrated tweet. Macca didn't know that in Minnesota, MEA Weekend is a more powerful force even than Lingering Beatlemania
My theory is that the disposable income is going to be on MEA
I used to do theater in Chicago a long time ago-which is not the important part of the story. What I'm trying to say is that my old friends who live there are going through it with the ICE inundation. Watching their IG and FB posts like they are in a war zone or something.

Today was the final day of the Midtown Greenway being open with the old Nicollet Ave Bridge in place. The path is going to be removed and replaced with a new one at 1st Ave next year after the new Nicollet Ave bridge is almost complete. Demolition starts tomorrow.
