2. Many describe a Kafkaesque existence of going to physical offices only to spend their time on video calls with the people sitting next to them

The anti work from home culture of govt at all levels is very much ableist and anti parent (mothers mostly). It also feeds into the ridiculous notion that the only real work is work that can be heavily monitored in a way that's reminiscent of middle school.
