My 70 year old dad, whose favorite band is The Righteous Brothers, just informed me that he enjoyed the Bad Bunny show bc even though he didn’t understand the words, “it seemed like everyone on stage was having a good time!” So there ya go lol.

This. I still order stuff from Amazon when I have to. But I use them far less now. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good.
Obviously do what works best for you but fwiw: I decided to cancel Amazon Prime a year ago and find stuff elsewhere whenever I could, and… it took a little bit to get used to but it’s surprisingly easy to build new patterns of online shopping.

I've been on a fixed upgrade schedule for all of my Apple devices since 2000.
Since Cook's cowardly capitulation to Trump, however, I've not bought anything from Apple. Not sure if I can keep it up forever because my alternatives aren't any better.

Tim Cook is an idiot thinking that sucking up to Trump is better for Apple in the longterm. My entire family uses Apple products because of me, but why would I recommend them now? He's doing lasting, permanent damage to their reputation.
I think Tim Cook over the last year has done more to damage my perception of Apple than anything else. I still think they make the best devices on the planet, but I just can't see myself buying any Apple products anytime soon.
