Trans women are already at a higher risk of HIV infection than almost any other group of people.

Just like Reagan, the Trump administration sees AIDS as a useful tool to eliminate queer and trans people.

The fight for trans women in prisons and those with HIV/AIDS has never been more important.
Trans women 66 times more likely to have HIV, with trans men nearly 7 times more likely, global analysis finds
Updated prevalence estimates based on a systematic review by Dr Sarah Stutterheim and colleagues at Maastricht University published in PLOS ONE show that not only are trans women much more likely to a...

While in detention she caught a bad “flu”.

She wasn’t given time to recover from childbirth.

She had dangerously high blood pressure.

Her milk dried up.

She was separated from her baby.

Then she was forcibly infected with an airborne virus because these camps do not protect detainees.

A Mexican woman was grabbed by ICE right after a c section.

She was suffering eclampsia and other complications, and her baby was alone in the NICU

They wouldn’t even give her a breast pump

She has a pending visa for victims of violent crimes… and then ICE committed a violent crime against her.

The 6 conservative Justices think we’re on the eve of an election that will take place 11 months from now. Utterly bankrupt of all intellectual integrity
In the weeds a bit but interesting that the court does not cite the Purcell precedent (barring meddling in election law too close to an election), as @rickhasen.bsky.social points out, but nevertheless seems to invoke it while citing a different case (left).

Yep, the Supreme Court really is just a House of Lords—a purely political branch with bizarre veto power, wielded capriciously and without accountability. Time for massive reform.

As Justice Kagan begins her dissent by pointing out, what is even the point of trial, of fact-finding, of clear error, of standards of review, when the Supreme Court simply ignores every single part of that and decides everything purely on the papers without any real consideration of the facts?

According to this Supreme Court:

❌ Using race conscious admissions in college to give minorities a fair shot

✅ Using race to profile people on the street to detain for immigration sweeps

✅ Using race to disenfranchise minorities in elecciones

The only consistency is white supremacy.

I don’t know, I still randomly trip out over the fact that the President told states to specifically gerrymander for him. And they did.

Simply amazing that the Supreme Court declared an end to legal race discrimination in the affirmative action case two years ago and now allows overt racism in both immigration arrests and redistricting.

Using race to help minorities? Bad. Using it to discriminate against them? Very, very good.

The postal service is not a business, measuring it by revenue is the wrong frame for understanding its worth.
🚨SCOOP: Amazon is preparing to sever ties with USPS and expand its shipping network as a true coast-to-coast rival.

It could cost USPS more than *$6 billion* a year in lost revenue, and lead Amazon to dominate yet another facet of the economy.

USPS posted a *$9 billion* loss in 2025.

Cruelty is anhedonic. It rarely delivers the euphoria promised because, in the abstract, what feels righteous and joyful inevitably reveals itself to be sordid and small. Then it's "No not like that". "No not enough". "No the real battle, the forever war to make this feel good starts now". Forever.
Note how these awful people are getting exactly the exclusions of children that they demanded and *that still isn’t enough for them*: they demand everyone be delighted about it and kiss their arses for being brilliant.
