Quick question: what is the point of body cameras on individuals upon whom the administration has essentially granted "absolute immunity"? What are we meant to do with the first-person recordings of all those bad acts when there is no consequence to seek and no authority that will rein them in?

So much of my irritation lately with randos on the internet (not to mention members of congress) is their inability to grasp the very simple concept that two things can be true. I can be glad a vicious dictator is no longer in power without condoning egregious lawlessness and deaths to remove him.

There was a story on my local (Sinclair) news tonight about high childcare costs, and it occurred to me that the whole "daycare fraud" thing happening is a double-whammy for assholes: it's a chance to be gutter racists about immigrants while also maybe reducing childcare options for women. #uspoli

Most of the places I don't want to live are due to political or weather (humidity is a bane) or both, but Hawaii is off-limits mostly bkz I don't belong there. And before you ask, Indiana is where I currently live, so.
