Exactly this.

The ‘red lines’ are a self imposed prison, which most of the country has already broken free from.

Starmer wake up - erase them, rejoin and regain a stronger economy in reliable partnership. 🇪🇺

Gather some courage, and slap down the Brexit myth, and Reform along with it.

As Labour descends into the type of psychodrama we suffered under the Tories for years, it’s clear the gulf between public expectation and what any govt can deliver makes U.K. effectively ungovernable. And has been since Brexit. It’ll take more than wishful thinking to dig us out of this.

Yes, now we need a PM strong enough to make the case, both with the EU & UK public to enable us to rejoin the EEA & Schengen Area and then integrate fully.

With McSweeney gone Starmer might but I doubt it.
‘This leaves Britain as a rare modern case study: a rich country that deliberately raised barriers to trade and cooperation and paid the price. The result is clear and inescapable – lower growth, lower productivity, lower wages and permanent relative decline.’

Yet still Farage leads the polls.

It really does ….

If so, he’s just appointing his gravediggers.

Starmer really doesn’t get it, does he? I guess he’ll stagger on until after May, mainly because no-one else wants to step in now to inherit his disastrous legacy.

fresh leadership needed
NEW: Hearing that Starmer is considering making Vidhya Alakeson and Jill Cuthbertson, Morgan McSweeney's deputies, his joint chiefs of staff.

All that Gordon suggests needs to be done, urgently. My only disagreement is that Starmer is the person to do it.

We need strong fresh leadership.

REJOIN THE EU. We were told many lies about leaving the EU especially by the likes of Farage and Johnson, it time for us to look at rejoining, not just for trade but to show we value our European neighbours and to fight against powerful forces which are trying to destroy Europe as we know it.

Be warned.

#Farage wants a #UK version of #ICE. All that is happening in the #US, will be happening here too.

Voting for #Reform is not only utterly stupid, it's dangerous too.

Don't vote for the #FarRight.
As events in America are now showing, democracies are only as strong as their weakest point. And right now, the weakest point in our own democracy is the continued rise of one Nigel Farage

When Starmer says Mandelson 'misrepresented' his friendship w/ Epstein, he's missing the point: the mere fact of ANY relationship w/ Epstein should have disqualified him for the job.

Mind boggling that he didn't see that. It's Johnson/ Truss level arrogance & stupidity.

Absolutely this thread.

The lack of spine from this government on rule of law has let down the UK hugely.
There are MANY issues with Starmer’s messaging. But I always thought this govts best and easiest bet was to become THE government of the rules and fair play. Led by a former lawyer, lean into fairness, equality, law and order, justice for workers, respect for international law.
