NEW: DHS secretly obtained Chicago police data on 900 residents accused of gang ties. It was quietly deleted after intelligence officers violated rules against domestic spying.

The handoff came well after city inspectors formally announced CPD's gang data was deeply flawed and infected w/ bias.
DHS Kept Chicago Police Records for Months in Violation of Domestic Espionage Rules
The Department of Homeland Security collected data on Chicago residents accused of gang ties to test if police files could feed an FBI watchlist. Months passed before anyone noticed it wasn’t deleted.

Can we circle back to the part where the NY Times never disclosed that they have incriminating information on Donald Trump from sent by Epstein that's been sitting on their email servers for nearly a decade?
Stuff like this makes me wonder why there hasn't been any reporting about Trump having affairs during his presidencies

Does every strand of red yarn on the conspiracy board connect to Epstein?
Jeffrey Epstein advised Steve Bannon that the lawyers representing Brett Kavanaugh in his confirmation hearing should accuse Christine Blasey Ford of being on medications that cause false memories or memory loss.

Responding to a 2017 message that Trump was 'so gross', Jeffrey Epstein said Trump was "worse in real life and upclose."

I think it will be a little early given the predictions, but it would be the funniest thing if this came out right when the AI bubble bursts.

Gentle reminder that I am going to be on TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES (!!!!) on Monday for an evening of programming that we put together. I hope you'll be able to tune in. Love y'all.
My prime time program with TCM on November 17th covers Robert Altman's COME BACK TO THE FIVE AND DIME and the Gay Bar Christmas Picture SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS ARE. SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS ARE doesn't screen anywhere very often and doesn't have a DVD in circulation.

Went to this during the Chicago run, and it's so good. An impressively immersive production with spectacular stagecraft, engaging writing, and a very creepy atmosphere/soundscape element. It's going for something different (no found footage angle), but it also might be better than any of the movies.

It’s cool that we’re reaching the same problem with dystopian art as we did with satire in the last decade where none of these imagined realities are nearly depressing or cynical enough to match the real world.

Schumer can be removed from his Dem leadership role this week - 23 Dems (and/or independents) just have to vote to depose him

And they should, given this is his fault.
This is a lovely sentiment but Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028 and he knows this. At which point he will be 77/78. There's no mechanism to recall a sitting senator AFAIK.
Let’s be clear: Chuck Schumer is the one ending this shutdown, no matter how the votes read.

Chuck Schumer is claiming that he’s voting no, while letting other Senators (Fetterman, Kaine, King, etc) do HIS dirty work.

He must be removed from his leadership & primaried for the sake of this country
