Christopher Harborne, who is bankrolling Farage, holds around 12% of Tether, the very crypto Farage was hyping up on LBC Ferrari’s show. Harborne also paid for Farage’s little pilgrimage to see Trump a few months back, and then jetted off to the States himself to cosy up to the Trump at a rally.

Harborne, who lives in Thailand, makes largest ever political donation

Reform is a party of the wealthy, by the wealthy, for the wealthy

We need to spread the word and change electoral law so that such vast donations by people who don't even live here are no longer possible

I don't even know what "native british" ancestry means. I can trace a couple of lines of my english ancestry back to the first parish registers in 1538, but beyond that who knows, probably german, french or danish? The point is, who cares? I am a glorious amalgam of me!
GB News has published a YouTube video in which a contributor rails against MPs whose parents were born in India, Pakistan or Bangladesh, contrasting them with “the native population”.

On Twitter he goes even further, demanding that "those without native British ancestry” be banned from being MPs

Frustration on sixth day of Kent water crisis - the CEO of the Water Co should be sacked❗️

Days of no water to wash, flush toilets, cook, clean, never mind businesses unable to function is totally unacceptable!..

We had four days in the middle of a heat wave, of no water and it was grim ..

You know what? I really don't think it is. Great domestic political posturing, but Labour have no plans to go beyond the 'reset' agenda, certainly none the EU are likely to accept. This will be talk to little if any action.
Starmer declaring “we have to keep moving towards a closer relationship with the EU” is a significant moment.

Reflects transformation in public opinion + need for economic growth.

Part of a grim 🧵and a Politico article on the US-UK "deal".

Basically, the orange wants a "special relationship" to ride roughshod over UK pharma standards and adopt the new, slipshod, unscientific, FDA standards pushed by his incompetent administration.

That's just for starters
Politico literally spells it out: this locks the UK into “a U.S.-centric life sciences model.”

3️⃣ The US wants the UK 🇬🇧 to open procurement and the NHS supply chain to American 🇺🇸 companies.

Before 1965 companies in the UK paid Income Tax, just like a person.

That would mean they would all now be paying 47% tax, not the 25% Corporation Tax they pay now.

On top of that they paid an extra 10% profit tax.

So they'd be paying 52.3% tax instead of 25% if it was 1960.

1. Jared Kushner's trip to Moscow yesterday was not just unethical; it was illegal.

You cannot accept tens of millions of dollars from foreign governments and simultaneously conduct high-level diplomacy for the federal government.

It says it right in the Constitution.
Kushner’s Moscow mission wasn’t just corrupt. It was unconstitutional.

Coverage of migration last week repeatedly referenced people emigrating – implying either white flight, that young people were heading overseas, or the rich were in mass exodus.

The reality: emigration of British citizens is flat. Non-EU citizens are leaving.
