The comments: "I'm XX years old and do just fine!" then proceeds to say something about a job/lifestyle that has involved tech since the 60s/70s.😒
My mom has macular degeneration and a lack of media literacy, so she's constantly at risk of scams. Dad can't even turn on a computer.
Another huge issue, and I don't think people even know this is a thing, is that just about everything is done with smart phones now. And many (most?) seniors literally cannot work their phones. Signing things, texting, dealing with spam and fraud or even using the basic functions? They're often lost

So... the pieces in the Lego Tokyo Imperial Hotel set are not organized by STEP, but rather by SIZE, so I spent 2 hours opening all the bags and organizing them into containers.😓😭

Good news: The CPAP machine genuinely is helping me sleep better and deeper.
Bad news: I sleep so deeply that I can't hear when the bastard cat is chewing holes through the breathing tubes and I only find out when I turn the thing on and air shoots out everywhere.

Why do the children ask me to read their personal statements and give advice and then send me a pdf I can't edit? Is it absolute chutzpah to think they knocked it out of the park on the first try? Expecting a "10 out of 10! No notes!" from me? Absolutely not.

My makeup look is what I like to call "just enough tinted moisturizer to not terrify small children." It gives "my coworkers aren't worried about me enough to sign a group Get Well Soon card." Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's just the bare minimum of effort.

Alt: A Maybelline makeup add with a close up of a woman's face with the words maybe she's born with it, maybe it's maybelline at the bottom.

Joining the chorus of people who called their parents' cousins "Aunt" and "Uncle" because that's the most logical thing to do and fuck the racist NYPost.
This article was probably written by some white guy who called his parents by their first names.
I used to love how my daughter's little friend Neha, down the street, would call me "Uncle Jeff" when the girls were little.
