Also: if you work for ICE, even if you’re not one of the ones arresting citizens or tackling 15-year-olds or zip-tying kids together and segregating them by race, you’re part of the mechanism making it happen, and you should suffer long-term social and post-regime-change consequences.

The old ratings were very silly. But notice ahead of time would have been nice. It was quite surprising to have a streak of 30 and then discover my rating had gone down. They must be getting so many customer service reports from people who didn’t see the news.

Chesscom changed their puzzle ratings. support.chess.com/en/articles/... This is probably a good thing. But boy was this surprising to discover.

I hear and see your concerns. Over the weekend, a couple users hosted on Blacksky's PDS were banned from the Bluesky app and thus the Bluesky API servers. This was a weakness of our system I've been aware of and hoped we had more time to address before any kind of public incident. 1/11

You might want to reconsider that. It clearly doesn’t work for prosthetics.l as you’ve acknowledged.

When this is coupled with bsky’s age verification, it means people are blocked from seeing nonadult even if they would be willing to click through the adult content warning.

Despite the rescue place telling us to expect to have to foster him for months, it only took two weeks for this cute puppy to find a permanent home for adoption. Our house is puppy free again for a bit, which is sad, but nice to see this puppy off to a good home.

When it comes to cask, this is like 1st fill vs. 2nd fill vs. refill and ex-bourbon vs. ex sherry. I feel like I’m learning a lot but also, there’s a lot of whisky here and they don’t seem to discourage drinking more once the bottle gets passed around. So we’ll see what I’ve learned tomorrow.

There are a few different answers one can give, at various levels of "convincing" / "actually relevant to why the work is done."
