A ridiculous announcement featuring an image of a US Secretary of Health and Human Services who is literally “in the dark.”

Perfect. No notes.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’d say the people who need to dial down the rhetoric are the ones promising “more bloodshed.”

Well, it’s bipartisan then. Both sides are hoping and praying that RFK and Trump are eating beef tallow by the fistful, for the good of the nation.
New federal dietary guidelines give federal approval to beef tallow, a fat that both cardiologists and the U.S. government told Americans to avoid for nearly half a century.
Beef Tallow Rises to the Top of the U.S. Food Pyramid
The new dietary guidelines give federal approval to a fat that has slowly caught on with consumers, even as doctors have warned against it.

This has been my experience as well. GenAI is an average machine, which at best produces average work. The result is impressive to people who make below average work, or wouldn’t recognize above average work if they saw it.
it’s come to my attention that my tumblr post has been crossposted to bluesky, so I’m posting it on my account here #AntiAI #GenAI

I grew up and went to school in Florida. “Florida Man” is not a compliment.
Here's the clip of Tony Dokoupil ending tonight's broadcast by absolutely gushing over "ultimate Florida Man" Marco Rubio.

my plan to get this country back on track consists of one bullet point: i propose we stop pretending stupid people arent stupid just because theyre loud and theres a lot of them

Instead of running two countries, I think Trump should resign and go run Venezuela.

Bari Weiss allows people outside the television industry to understand the feeling of those of us in the industry when we receive notes from an executive who doesn't know what the fuck they're doing.

You know, I think I’ve had enough of the Pundits. Thanks for all the opinions, professional full-time opinion makers. The amateurs are doing just fine.

Can we please just skip ahead to the “Dancing With the Stars” phase of Bari Weiss’s career?

Bari Weiss is so ignorant of the news business, she’s probably also unaware of Betteridge's law of headlines: "Any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered by the word no."

Someday the Kennedy Center will raise a lot of money by auctioning off the privilege of crowbarring letters off that building.
Living for the day when that vile gargoyle's name is crowbarred off the building.

Here's an "answer" that is also a lie.

I'm not sure what the point is when the press interviews liars to ask if they are lying.
FOX: If you cut something by 100%, the cost goes down to 0. If you cut it by 600%, the drug companies are actually paying you

LUTNICK: What he's saying is if a drug was $100 and you bring it down to $13, it's down 7 times

F: Not a 600% cut

L: But it's 700% higher price before. It's down 700% now
December 18, 2025 at 8:34 PM
I want just one Trump supporter to explain to me how a drug price was cut 600%. Is the drug now free AND when you order it, the company just gives you five times the original cost of the drug in cash??

He's stupid and he thinks we're all stupid too.
LOLLL Trump claims he’s cutting drug prices by 600 percent, which is not possible

This is a true cinematic discovery for MST3k fans.

Bluesky really does have the juice.
Huh. Ian Kennedy Martin wrote Mitchell. He basically cut-n-pasted the "Buzz off, kid!" scene from a script he wrote for The Sweeney. Having seen the #MST3K version of Mitchell a million times, seeing this scene in a British context with two different actors feels like a fever dream.

At SNL I worked with artists who made the funniest, stupidest graphics in no time flat. Some of my biggest jokes would have been impossible without these geniuses building an insane image or finding the perfect real-life photo of a politician. Sucks that their work is being pushed aside for slop.
SNL used AI art tonight, multiple times.

Booooooo.

Todd Glass’s nine night engagement at the NY Comedy Festival this week has one of greatest line ups of “Brought to you by” names ever.

If you like stand up comedy at all, chances are very good one of your favorite comics wants you to see Todd Glass.
