I think it's also that he lived through the CG revolution and saw what happened to people who didn't get on early, and thinks AI is going to be that as well, helped by a bunch of PR teams trying to sell him and everyone else on it. So they think it's the CG revolution, not The 08 Crash but worse.

I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can’t protect ANY groups if we can’t win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That’s not “erasing” them; it’s long-horizon strategy.

Lol it is not easy, and even I fail at it regularly. But stg, far too much of our psyche is wrapped up in thinking that if a thing isn't good enough to monetize we shouldn't do it, and that, if we can't earn $ on it that we aren't good at it. And both of these are patently false & just help shit ppl

I don't know, having dealt with cops, I think they lie like cops, maybe the stupidest ones, and we just aren't used to decades of PR to make us not listen. They are all escalating symptoms of the same problem, and our reticence to truly see that is part of why it continues to escalate.

I feel like we are living in an age of such just distrust online, that it's useful to state in some capacity that the work is dubious. Especially considering how in games sometimes it can take hours of play to find big proof & by then you oft can't return the work. Feel a new term is in order.
