Backed by the Heritage Foundation and Big Tech, KOSA will force everyone to upload their ID to access the internet. In an age when Palantir has direct ties to ICE, where technofascists are in power and want to eliminate and censor everything, we CANNOT allow KOSA to pass.

It NEEDS mass pushback.
🚨‼️As of yesterday KOSA is at 64 cosponsors with @vanhollen.senate.gov + @kim.senate.gov - who claim to support LGTBQ+ rights but are clearly okay with supporting legislation that’ll censor us off the internet- newly signed on.

Online censorship is one of the many levers of state power right-wingers have been pulling to try and snuff out queer and trans existence. But instead of fighting back, some Democrats are helping them at the controls. Read the full #OpEd from @fightforthefuture.org
Why Are Some Democrats Backing MAGA's Anti-LGBTQ+ Censorship?
From late-night host cancellations to removing LGBTQ+ history from government sites, politicians in both parties are contributing to the overwriting of the internet — a place where lots of queer and t...

A long time ago, a mobile game studio made my husband do an on-site 5 hr design test, did not hire him, but then updated their game with the shit he did for free in that interview. I will never forget.
I'm not particularly invested in Hasan but everyone believing this shock collar nonsense sounds stupid, it's a stupid story and I don't respect it.
Unfortunately, the reality of the media landscape forces us to be public about responding 'nonissues', lest we let bad actors fill in and control the narrative as we saw in the Depp v Heard era.
collar gate is the latest instance of a trumped-up non-issue blossoming into a large-scale psychosis event – and possibly the dumbest. it's also the modern internet doing exactly what it was engineered to do
Sally 'dontbbemeantobariweiss' Jenkins was also the Charlie Kirk apologist, I don't think we have to take her very seriously or indulge in her ratio fetish.

Sora hasn't even been out for a month and we're already seeing the media landscape get flooded by fake footage faster than people can correct them.
It doesn't take much to find real footage of ICE and police brutality, to generate AI footage for clout is disgusting.

This is still open. Canadians, if you're concerned about payment processors interfering with your ability to access legal content (and stand with adult creatives against censorship), make sure to sign!
Canadians! There is a petition to sign to protest Mastercard and Visa's control over the purchase of legal adult content. This is specifically about the Steam & itchio situation, but language protects adult creators.

I had a dream I was stitching a blanket, worried if I had enough yarn, worried if I could power through the monotony of it, but then woke up and didnt have a wip blanket so now I'm sad :( is this a sign to make a blanket
I get it but I also want to know if these things actually work or not.
I also heard that just posting lowrez and crunchier images have the same effect and wouldn't that be easier than glazing? Perhaps this question is incredibly ignorant. I honestly don't know!
So what's the verdict on glazing art before posting them online? Does it actually work? Every time I check I feel the arguments get messy and I just want a clear answer. I know artists want to believe it works while critics may have something to gain by saying it doesn't. I want to understand.
even if I'm not totally surprised I can still be disappointed. I wasnt aware that the scraping was so direct.
Thank you! I appreciate the article too. There's clearly a lot of us who knew the abstract danger of "anything online could be scraped", but not the direct danger of "bluesky is 100% scraping any media on the site".
my Japanese is good enough to get by but I have been offered English speakers on occasion (guarantors through Daiwa house and such.) it's usually best to let them know beforehand through your agent so that could be an option, but the process can be a crapshoot :s godspeed
How does this site not have at least one person in charge of comms
If I were a social media CEO crashing out, I wouldn't want that to be on the Discover tab for everyone to see
