Feels really significant that the Trump admin is making a concerted effort to force colleges to undo policies that made campus safe and accessible for trans people, because for so many trans people college is the first place they ever get to be themselves.

How is this turning into a "white liberals from the South" thing. No white liberals from the South believe this. The one good thing about the South is that nobody here is under any illusions about the South.
as a white liberal with Southern roots, quite frankly, I think other white liberals from the South need to get the fuck over their oddly defensive attitude about what should be pretty blindingly obvious.
