I disapprove of the form you make, but I will fight to the death your right to make it... #citybuilding

Who's the architect that put their seal on this?
The National Trust for Historic Preservation warned that President Trump’s planned 90,000-square-foot ballroom would “overwhelm the White House itself,” which spans just 55,000 square feet. https://wapo.st/4hmL8rC

Tapping the sign
Regardless, it will be the pinnacle of his career to be stiffed by the POTUS... just like every other architect that has ever worked with him and thought it would be different this time...
So, ...it's this guy: www.mccreryarchitects.com

And, whatever. There's always gonna be this guy. But, his resume and the fact that AECOM is there to babysit suggest that he is in way over his head...

I saw a tragically AI-generated version of this poster, so I have recreated a 100% human-made version for all your protest sign needs.

My French charcutier suggested I make, basically, cassoulet from his smoked chorizo and all of a sudden New Orleans cooking makes more sense.

Spending over 30% of household income on housing qualifies as rent burdened. But according to the latest research from @harvard-jchs.bsky.social the “30% metric” underestimates how many renters are actually burdened by housing costs once you include food, healthcare, childcare, transport, & more:
Rising rents are leaving households with less income to pay for other needs, and inflation has also pushed up the cost of other necessities.

Our new paper finds that, after paying for rent, 2/3 of working-age renters cannot afford their basic needs.

Two-Thirds of Working-Age Renters Struggle to Afford Basic Needs
Rising rents are squeezing renter households, leaving them with less residual income to pay for other needs. But inflation has also pushed up the cost

Good morning.

The government is shut down because Trump wants to act like a king and steal from you.

Democrats have no obligation to support a budget that funds the destruction of our democracy - and DOUBLES health premiums to fund a tax cut for billionaires.
Read @amandamarcotte.bsky.social for one reason to worry less about Charlie Kirk's wider salience: bc the music as his memorial sucked.
