Kinda wild how we saw people doing Nazi shit and called them Nazis and then they said, "Don't call us Nazis!" and then the centrists and media said, "Don't call them Nazis!" and we see all their leaked texts and it turns out they were all Nazis after all.

Like if something good isn't currently legal, it never enters our minds that we could just...elect people who agree that it's a good thing and make it legal.

one of the weirder american traits is immediately taking any complex philosophical questions to "what has the supreme court said about this". like whether free speech covers covid misinformation or whether affirmative action is good is a deeper question than "is this legal"

It's important to keep reconciling with that and working to address it to fix the damage things like Twitter and Fox News have done to us

I watch/listen to a LOT of YouTube in an average work week in my side monitor and I can say the algorithm over the past couple weeks has progressively gotten weirder and dumber and crappier

The difference between videos like this with an Israeli being released to joyfully hug their families and videos of Palestinians being released with a thousand yard stare or wailing in grief because their entire family was murdered while they were in captivity say a lot about what each side did
