DHS repeatedly said that an aggressive apartment raid in Chicago last fall was prompted by intel on a gang takeover.

New documents show the real story behind the raid was to target alleged squatters — with the landlord's blessing.

The Trump administration has claimed the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua had taken over the building. But new documents make no mention of the gang and reveal federal agents had information about “ille...

Concentration camps: stories of as many as 50 people to a cell — men and women in some cases — with no windows and limited airflow, a single camera-monitored toilet, aluminum blankets, no showers and poor quality food.

These federal buildings have cells designed to hold a few people for a brief period; like a holding cell at a police station. Supposed to be 12 hours max, usually less.

People are being held in them for 7-10 days, jammed in like sardines. It’s a nightmare.

I've always been clear about the huge irony in a government report calling the media like @wearequeeraf.com irresponsible for reporting on trans suicides, in case it harms young people's wellbeing.

Politicians, healthcare systems and media perpetuating hate, are the driving forces 🧵
A government report rebuked @wearequeeraf.com for reporting on whistleblowers who said there had been a spike in suicides after the Tavistock shuttered

These numbers from @goodlawproject.org show our reporting was justified, and critical

What have we learned? 🧵

This week, hundreds of thousands of Haitian migrants faced an uncertain future as the Trump administration fought to revoke their legal status.

Despite these threats, the largely immigrant union workers at a JBS beef plant still voted to strike.

A collaboration from our friends at @thefern.org:
These Haitian meatpacking workers face deportation. They voted to strike anyway.

He continues to wound with impunity, without care for the bodies left on the side of the road. I don’t want to be him when he faces Jesus.🤢
