Once again: Stop comparing things you don't like (turbines, pylons etc) to the Highland clearances. It's insulting to the memories of those forced from their homes and makes you come across like an ignorant twat.
We really are going to install the suveliience cameras ourselves. Incredible.
This commercial validated my decision to never buy/install a ring camera. What in the dystopian fuck
Here's that Ring #SuperBowl commercial:

Once again the commentator lads can't understand that if you want a video system to enforce the rules definitively, it will occasionally enforce the rules in ways you don't like. You didn't want a ref who can apply their own common sense, then this is what you get. Own it.

Interesting piece on Andy Goldsworthy's Gravetstones art work on the BBC website. It's an "exclusive first look" apparently. I offered it to a national newspaper last year but they turned it down. I ended up writing it for my Substack. smallfinds.substack.com/p/small-find...

My least popular opinion is that I find Daniel Day Lewis extremely annoying in films. I can never stop thinking of him as an actor, his facial expressions are just too over the top for me and I've simply never met anyone who's face moved like that. I realise I'm largely alone in this.

Polanski *not* jumping on the first whiff of power like a rabid dog not only confuses Labour but they consider it against the rules and rude.
I think an extremely funny angle that should be considered is that flailing Labour strategists had bet on Zack standing in Gorton, prepared a whole attack strategy based around it, and what we’re seeing is its wrenching last minute alteration into “how dare he not be the candidate there”

Grimly I think Israel accept these numbers because they are proud of them.
my understanding as a casual observer has always been that these are so scrupulously recorded as to likely be a severe undercount?
I cannot tell you how much doubt was consistently directed at the Gaza Health Ministry’s casualty numbers and how much pressure was put on news organizations to couch those numbers as unreliable.

Biden himself said they were fabricated!

[every news article about Trump]

Opening para: Trump's recent policy decision has experts scratching their heads

Quote from Trump: yeah I did it so I could get more money. I love taking money for me and my friends

Closing para: and so the argument will continue as to Trump's aims

"It’s perhaps too much to expect that a reality TV show should provide moral lessons as well as entertainment. If it does, though, what it tells us is surely that we are none of us free of bias – and where we lack information, we may all be prone to plug the gaps with prejudice."

Surely nobody is this stupid. *Yes*, we will say that: we will roar, screech, foam at the mouth and squeal, and if any notable says “Isn’t this a bit like the US kidnapping the leader of Venezuela” then our politicians and media outlets will unify to scream abuse at them, too. Yet again!

This vile shit is basically all the tech bros ever wanted it for, and fuck every single dickhead who's enabling it's use.
So we just accept this then? This is a legitimate use of technology going forward? This vile individual's account is just prompt after prompt asking Al to alter real-life images of women. The law needs to catch up with technology now - because we can't trust these tech companies to police themselves
