So I just want to encourage everyone to laugh at Karens when you see one out in the wild. Because if someone is acting that way in public, blowing up at employees and threatening to call police, they need to feel a little shame.

Laugh at them. It’s very liberating and it’s a moral imperative

So SHE said: well I’m calling the police. And then, everyone behind me in line started laughing at her. The laughter stopped for a minute, and someone mumbled “she said ‘I’m calling 911’” and we all lost our shit. The poor clerk was fighting for his life not to laugh too 4/6

I didn’t mean to, I’ve just never heard of someone demanding a discount on gas. I don’t even think that’s a thing they can do. So, she shot me a dirty look and again, not thinking about it, I said “oh wait, are you serious?”

I don’t know if it was an app or something she was looking at, but the clerk patiently explained that $2.79 was the correct price. She angrily said “So are you refusing to honor the advertised price?” and without thinking about it I looked right at her and laughed. Like, laughed HARD.

This morning I was getting gas and as I was paying, an older lady came in, walked to the head of the line, and yelled at the clerk that the gas prices were wrong. She said “____ (something on her phone) said $2.49 and it’s 2.79.”

Clerk explained that he knows, he already called to have it fixed 1/6
