The Simon Rosenberg crash out was pretty remarkable this weekend. Screeching at Minnesotans and telling them to fuck off. Lol. What a weirdo.

I fell today, just like that ICE officer we’ve all seen a million videos of. The difference is that about 7 neighbors came running to check on me and one I just met walked me all the way back to my car. No one cheered! A good ‘are we the baddies?’ test is - are people cheering my wipeout?

If you’re outraged about protests in churches i wonder if you know what ICE is doing there www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/268977/...

Yep, this. When you leave the coffee shop, when you leave a store, when you pass others on the street, it's the way we all sign off now here in Mpls.
The way “stay safe” has replaced almost all other goodbyes here

Victor Manuel Diaz was a Minneapolis community member. And ICE facilitated his death in a concentration camp in Texas. Rest in Peace Victor.
These are concentration camps. And these are the numbers they're comfortable sharing.
This is the sixth death in ICE custody in 18 days. This isn’t enforcement, it’s a system that cages people, outsources care, and shrugs when they die. Abolish ICE.

I can wait until the middle of this week when Minneapolis citizens will not only be fighting off ICE goons, we’ll also apparently be having hand to hand combat with a few folks from the DNC as well.

SHORT VERSION: This is far from the most important thing going on right now but I’m letting folks know that I’m volunteering to be the Chair of the St Paul DFL. If you are interested in helping to rebuild our local party unit with me, reach out!

if you are in Saint Paul, and looking to do some good today, you could come over to the Payne/Phalen area and visit some really incredible businesses! We need eyes out and about. Please.
Yes! I am an eastsider and had to explain to people that the east side is demographically very *not* like Grand Ave or Mac Groveland.

I HIGHLY doubt Senator Warren ok’d you using her name to….pick a fight with activists from a city under siege? What say you @warren.senate.gov, you’re really going to ‘come for us’ because we tried to tell Simon his ask was tone deaf?
I work with state parties every single day. There are only a handful of national leaders who actually raise real money for the year organizing state parties do--Ken Martin (dnc chair), Simon Rosenberg (Hopium), Sen. Warren and Actblue. Come for Simon and you come for all of us.
I'm not interested in arguing with the good people of Minnesota, on the front lines, doing the hard work of protecting our democracy. I've worked hard to bring your bravery and courage to the world in recent weeks on Hopium.

But attacks like this are false, defamatory, and need to end. 1/

Well, not likely the DFL is going to try to undo the absolutely awful shitstorm started here over fundraising and simple questions of ‘where is that money going, SPECIFICALLY’ Since the person doing all the damage is ALREADY up posting long threads again. Day 3 crash out - going great!
January 18, 2026 at 2:34 PM
Would probably be good for the DFL to put out something tomorrow to explain exactly how they’re contributing to efforts against the ICE occupation and how they’re going to use the $ that has been raised by someone who has spent the day insulting and berating local organizers. But what do we know.

That’s MY Minnesota. And I will share it with anyone who also loves their neighbor.

Besides the 1 million other reasons folks have commented more eloquently than I can about why not to donate here, this stupid ‘campaign’ is fully funded so hey, maybe promote some actual local ‘courageous Minnesotans’ campaigns now Simon, eh?
So friends, I launched a campaign to raise money for the Democratic Party of Minnesota (@dfl.org) to help them combat ICE's lawless assault. MN Dem Party Chair Richard Carlbom joined me for the kickoff. Learn more, donate, and let's rally for the courageous people of Minnesota, together! 👇

They’re trying to get real people from Minneapolis suspended because none of us like Simon’s campaign to raise money for the DFL while we are all getting kidnapped and shot. Fuuuuucking spare me.

The state DFL doesn’t even give the Minneapolis DFL money to host conventions and then overturns the convention results when they don’t like it 🤯🤯🤯 help me understand how this fundraiser helps me and my neighbors who are being deported or shot in the face

The Democratic Party is not a good steward of your money. All it does is line the pockets of the genius consultants who brought you sky-is-falling spam emails begging for more money and "learn to code."

You can always donate directly to candidates later. Support these causes instead:

For those watching from afar, I cannot overemphasize how the executive branches of all levels of government are doing absolutely nothing to protect people, while ordinary folks are doing just an incredible amount.

If someone jumps in my mentions to defend a consultant and tone police my neighbors they’re getting muted from now on. And maybe blocked if they’re not even FROM Minnesota. Omg the devil does not need more advocates. Nor do consultants.
January 17, 2026 at 7:28 PM
Jesus Christ. Dems defend actual people over the pundit and consulting class challenge. Level impossible. We’re not consulting our way out of this friends. That ship SAILED.
January 17, 2026 at 7:18 PM
It’s an AWFUL sign for the state of Dem punditry when the consultants are aghast at how something is received and instead of taking the feedback they decide everyone responding WITH INFO are bots. Half the respondents are folks I’ve door-knocked and caucused and conventioned with. Def not bots!

Hi, I have a lot of new followers so a few notes: I’m not a man, just an old butch. Also, I previously worked for the ACLU, am a lawyer and have worked with small biz here in MN for more than two decades. If I see you giving them bad advice, I’m going to respond, likely not the way you want me to.

It took me about 5 minutes of very lazy google searching to find the ACLU's 2002 testimony for several Senate and House committees regarding the Homeland Security Act, where they express concern that DHS will become exactly what it is today, @nickmiroff.bsky.social.

OMG I want to scream at the amount of bad armchair lawyering people are doing. When this is all over I’m never going to second guess any Minnesota coaches decisions. Ok, maybe that’s just the stress speaking, I shouldn’t be THAT hasty.
January 17, 2026 at 5:10 AM
Just crying in the club (my couch) b/c a lot of folks who don't know the law are giving small biz bad advice about I-9 audit notices. PLEASE direct any small business owner you know not to publicly post about any notice and to contact a lawyer. I can help Mpls and Henn Co businesses at no cost.
