Being up-to-date on your vaccinations is good patriotism. Curbing and stopping infectious disease is being a good neighbor. It's being a good family member to those you're close to and a good stranger to everyone else in world.

Schedule your vaccines today, right now, if you're not up to date.
As the Trump administration is firing thousands of NIH workers — including 10% of the CDC team, the measles outbreak in Gaines County, Texas has suddenly doubled to at least 48 cases. The outbreak has grown from 24 to 48 cases within the last three days.

All cases are in unvaccinated people or…

I graduated college in 2006. At that point, the computer I had 13-years earlier was an IBM Compatible 386 machine (don't ask me the brand, I was 10). Windows 3.0 with Word Perfect and Solitaire. No modem or sound card. It was the first computer I'd had with a mouse.
I talk about my 13 year old daily driver laptop a lot but it's really amazing how home computing has plateaued in my lifetime.

Like using a 13 year old PC when I was in college would have been unfathomable

I want to finally do a video on sidewalk plows and the problem of leaving snowy sidewalks to homeowners.

If anyone has examples of poorly cleared sidewalks that I can use, attach them here!

Important: mention the city. Also, preferred attribution (if any). Otherwise, default is screen name.

Democratic politicians and activists are quietly lobbying to upend the way the party picks its presidential nominee by urging the use of ranked-choice voting.
Scoop: Democrats eye ranked-choice voting for 2028 primaries
It's a tool that drew national attention when it propelled New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani to a decisive primary win.

studded tires arrived. got the front tire mounted, which feels like the more important of the two. also the easier
Slipping and falling (with a bike) on black ice gives the lesson that maybe it's time for studded tires

trying something new to explore who you are is fine. like a first fit of a dress or a suit, visiting a club, riding a bike for a cruise, you don't know if it's *really you*

try it a second and third time, that dress, that new name, that two-wheeler, maybe, just maybe it'll actually be you

As the sun rises, confusion reigns. orders are unclear, and the enemy is now not unknown, but his motives remain unclear. everyone now lives unending minutes made of eternities, as the ocean is slowly lit by the winter sun.
