Welcome to a year later where my $200 SSD is now $300-400, my RAM went from $164 to $500, and even my DVD drive went from $20 to $32.
My computer probably a few good years left in it, but I bought a brand new system today because the wild GPU market already means I am going to put a five year old graphics card in it. I don't want to need a new PC next year and pay $500 for a CPU that costs $150 today.
Um, it's because we're all scared of the damn tariffs.
It's not like any of us can actually afford shit right now, but the alternative is to *never afford shit again.*

As I went through my libertarian, then vaguely traditional liberal Democrat, then rabidly leftist phases over the past couple of decades, I've gone on an interesting rollercoaster journey regarding the practicality and necessity of if and how many people in power should be executed for their crimes.
