astrology can be very hard to talk about with the majority of people (often including other astrologers!) because both its study and practice is deeply intertwined with epistemology, aka how we know what we know and to what extent we can know it. plus, metaphysics, history, and translation!

I knew that Mamdani had it; he had the people and did the work, and has been the clearest and most lucid in rejecting the untenable current state of things. But the vile, bigoted shit against him was so constant, and I am conditioned to that working better than I want. This feels like an exorcism.

"make art for urself!" completely neglects the fact that beauty, the desiring direction of art, isn't an institutionally quantifiable object.
Beauty gains and brings joy the more it's shared, the more people join in to say, "oh I love this, this is how it makes me feel". bc life is relational.

i think astrologers who were able to easily recognize the beauty and function of astrology remember the eternal beauty their souls witnessed before they incarnated. this is mentioned in Plato's Phaedrus. your soul remembers, it recognizes it, and it yearns to return to such beauty.

Friendly reminder from your local Saturn-as-functional-benefic astrologer: Saturn is associated with the marginalized, including disabled people, and MANY people who are in the divinatory arts (astrology, tarot, etc.) are disabled. Saturn is deeply misunderstood but a very valuable ally.
