The evolution of the BBC article on Graham Linehan's conviction and how it describes the trans victim of this crime is beyond atrocious. They actively went out of their way to dehumanize the victim here. They removed all pronouns for her and gendered honorifics such as "Ms."

Strongest S&P Case-Shiller home price index gains nationally since February in the month of September (after my SA - their SA is bad). National prices +1.2% annualized, had fallen slightly MoM for March-July. This can get revised down but clear improvement.

The company essentially turned a dial that made ChatGPT more appealing and made people use it more, but sent some of them into delusional spirals.

OpenAI has since made the chatbot safer, but that comes with a tradeoff: less usage.

This piece is timely. Yesterday, the FDIC released its Quarterly Banking Profile showing that banks’ deposit income is increasing (L) as the Fed lowers interest rates (R).

Rate pass-through tends to lag, but it’s a trend worth watching because it reflects banks’ pricing power.
