BREAKING: After months of stonewalling by Starbucks, unionized baristas just voted 92% to authorize a ULP strike unless Starbucks finalizes fair contracts & stops union busting.

If forced, our baristas will strike in dozens of cities on November 13 – the company's busiest sales day of the year.
Starbucks unionized workers say they'll strike on Nov. 13 if coffee giant doesn't finalize contract
Union members say they are ready to strike on the chain's Red Cup Day if Starbucks doesn't finalize a contract with their union by then.

Millions of Americans can’t even really eat but the chuds can throw Gatsby parties and run around America charging millions in trips, planes, limos and hotels. Then the rich cry about a 2% tax raise in NYC.

The victimhood they've always craved has finally arrived, but somehow, it's not as comforting as they fantasized it'd be.
There's so many of these btw, NoVa right wingers realizing that their neighbors genuinely hate them

Still thinking about Zohran’s full-throated defense of immigration and how long i’ve waited for it. No bullshit about border security or β€œlegal” immigrants but just unabashed support for immigrants. How many people feel so much more seen today? I know I do. 1/

Easily several hundred people have packed into this plaza in Chicago's North Center tonight in response to ICE abducting a daycare worker early this morning.

This is a neighborhood that has largely been spared until now from the "Midway Blitz" terror campaign. But everyone knows someone affected.

NEW DFP Insight:

Voters everywhere respond when a candidate connects economic populism to clear, actionable goals.

Zohran Mamdani's policies are key examples β€” and they have popular appeal nationwide.

The New York Times quickly sending out Douthat to argue that Mamdani’s victory doesn’t really matter is so predictable it borders on self-parody.

Remember, folks: Every time the Right wins an election, it’s an undeniable expression of the will of the people. If a lefty wins, it’s just a blip.

The entire right-wing propaganda machine came after Zohran Mamdani.

The president and his allies came after him.

Democratic leaders, by and large, did not have his back until the last minute.

He still won, turning out historic numbers and inspiring young voters.

His politics can win anywhere.

Mamdani cracks 1M votes, the first NYC mayor to do so since John Lindsay in 1969
There are ways to localize a strategy like Mamdani’s to anywhere. People care about things that directly impact them. It’s not just running on fast and free busses in West Virginia, but it could something like building housing or a jobs guarantee and retraining program.

here is my story about how Zohran's focus on community amid the loneliness epidemic helped young people connect their politics to an organizing infrastructure, that interviewed ZM, and does not use the NYT's framing of "they don't know how to make friends" :-) and also ran 4 days before NYT's lol
Zohran Mamdani's Establishment-Fighting Campaign Built Community for Young People
β€œWhat Mamdani has done is not only inspire and mobilize young people, but he has exposed the establishment and some of their calcified views of participation and inclusion.”
