So, I'm technically a dual national. My dad was born in a country which grants citizenship by descent for 1 generation. His family was working out there for a few years. He left age 3. I've never visited, and i have to fill out a form to get proof of citizenship. No passport. Could they deport me?

Me, in The Guardian today:

"This is a moment that requires bravery in standing up for what is right. Organisations that value trans people should know not just that the law is on their side – but so, also, are many people who will step up to defend them if they have the courage to take a stand."
The WI and Girlguiding have been pressured to exclude trans women – yet the law is clear as mud | Jess O’Thomson
Since the supreme court decision, organisations have faced lobbying and legal threats. But trans people are protected by discrimination law too, says Jess O’Thomson of the Good Law Project

Is this going to be on the basis of biological sex because genital inspections to decide how many chips people get is not the restaurant experience I want
I also think if you pay the same money you should get the same amount of chips, as a basic principle of equality, who asked for this?

What does "divisive" even mean these days? Is a "divisive" view just when people disagree with you? "I realise now that many people disagree with me" is a really pointless title.

Unclear how they thought they were going to enforce this on businesses based outside the UK? The plan is apparently just to email them and ask them nicely to pay their fines. We're going to spend a lot of money employing people to send pointless begging emails

Absolutely terrified by the number of parents here who think it's fine/normal to be able to tell if your 20 something child is staying the night with someone they're fucking
If that is from the BBC piece then it was the mum of the autistic lad which really creeped me out.

This seems like a straightforward human rights disaster. A pregnant asylum seeker can't access maternity care because the hospital is a two hour walk away, and loses her baby because issues weren't identified. Or when she goes into labour instead of calling a taxi she has to wait for an ambulance!
If somebody had to travel 250 miles for a medical appointment then yes there’s a problem but the taking a taxi ain’t it

This is a very weird question to ask of a trial where there has been a conviction. This is the question you ask when someone has been found innocent, not convicted of criminal damage.

SEEN needs to spell out how astonishingly improper this is. A Gender Critical activist ‘journalist’ openly admits he was “invited to address the judge” in a criminal trial, even though he says himself he “doesn’t technically have standing”. This should NEVER happen in court.

If disease is caused by unresolved emotional conflicts is it possible you could raise a child so badly that they spontaneously bring back smallpox?
A horrifying, yet must-read article. That these women remain free to continue profiting from dangerous, even deadly mis- and disinformation on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum complications is a stain on modern culture.

NHS leaking trial protocols to anti trans writers pre publication
A Substacker named Ben Ryan tweeted that "the long-awaited UK puberty blocker clinical trial protocol is out."

Shortly thereafter he deleted the post. I can't find a public version of the protocol but here's what I was able to salvage from the screenshot + post.

If a service doesn't have a gender neutral option and is unable to clearly establish someone's sex at birth are they forced to ban them from both? This guidance has finally noticed that there is no record which clearly establishes someone's sex at birth.
"Trans people could be banned from single-sex spaces based on how they look. The Times has seen the equalities watchdog’s final guidance, which Whitehall figures fear Bridget Phillipson is delaying to avoid a political backlash" [Times]

"As someone working in law, it’s heresy to say this, and it might even kill my chances of a career... But as a trans person, and someone fighting for the rights of my community, I refuse to remain silent. To me it just seems obvious: a heavily prejudiced society produces prejudiced institutions."
It’s no surprise that only 31% of trans people trust a legal system built to enforce prejudice, says Jess O’Thomson.

BBC clearly demonstrating that the complaints process is worthless. You can get a complaint upheld and they will do the exact same thing again just reporting on it. None of the endless circle of submitting complaints will make them stop.
In this piece, admitting the BBC has broken its impartiality rules re. trans people, the BBC further breaks its impartiality rules by changing a quote saying "trans identity" to "trans ideology".

This appears to skip right from two ships being in the same port straight to two groups of men facing each other in, and one of them already has his dick out? What is the process of arranging this kind of event? Is this just happening in the street?

So I take from this that if I'm treated in any way that is different from cis women while using a women's toilet (like being asked to provide evidence of birth sex or ID) that this is direct gender reassignment discrimination? In the view of the EHRC?
