I’m glad that the NYT talked to Trump, it’s useful to have him articulate his narcissistic fascist philosophy in detail, out loud, but as far as I could see, they didn’t ask him about the Epstein files & that feels like a big mistake. He’s clearly succeeded in pushing them out of the news

ICE needs to be abolished, to be sure, but we also have to deal with how the FBI and DOJ are thoroughly corrupted now, and that won't change without a massive counter-purge and reconstruction of federal law enforcement writ large. New political appointees at the top will not be sufficient.
