Literal nazi shit.

This is a long thread but you should read it.

In related news, judges *must* start holding AUSAs in contempt (and then locking them up) if we want this to stop without more bloodshed.
I don’t really know what I expect in posting this, but maybe some people see it and can learn from it.

I’ll call it “lessons from an unwilling immigration attorney.”

To everyone thanking me, much appreciated but not why I posted! Pls support your local immigrant defense group like:

And please thank lawyers doing this work. We’re carrying a lot of trauma for voiceless clients. We are tired. We have become experts in new law under the most dire circumstances.

If you can, donate to immigration defense funds. They’ve been at it the longest and have the least resources.

Legal status doesn’t matter: if you exceed ICE’s melanin threshold, you get snatched. It is ethnic cleansing. There is no other word for it.

The news has shown you video of these often violent detentions. What you don’t see is what happens to these individuals after.

I’ve had a front row seat.

Henry Cuellar should never hold elected office again. Anyway in the meantime, make your Senators scared of you.

Honestly even Republicans can be moved if they get enough calls. So make sure to do so. Especially make Democrats terrified of their voters if they don't vote no with a bullet on this one
NEW: House passes SAVE America Act

218-213; Rs + 1 Dem (Cuellar) vote yes.

Revised Trump-backed bill requires showing proof of citizenship "in person" to register and slaps photo ID rules to vote.

Now it goes to the Senate. No path to 60. THUNE promises a vote.

The legislation would overhaul federal election laws in all 50 states by imposing new voter ID and proof-of-citizenship requirements. But it faces a daunting path in the Senate.

This is an interesting piece about how NYT is using AI in its newsroom. (tl;dr: they generate transcripts of the podcasts they're tracking, those transcripts gets summarized, those summaries get delivered in a report to journalists)
When actress Sydney Sweeney’s American Eagle ad became a culture war flashpoint last summer, Times journalists noticed, in part through the reports, that right-wing podcast figures were shaping the backlash. www.niemanlab.org/2026/02/how-...
