How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

Tonight's even more proof the mainstream reporters who are still on Twitter are suffering from a brain problem akin Havana Syndrome that is preventing them from accurately doing their jobs. They are being cooked alive by a snuff-focused apartheid algorithm.

starving over 40 million people right before major holidays + massively upping healthcare costs does strike me as a rather bold move this early in the authoritarian consolidation game for any given fascist regime, but I guess we’ll see what happens

If the Democrats don’t cave on the government shutdown, Trump will fire lots of federal workers (which is also exactly what Trump did when the government was open)

Last year, CNN ran a “fact check” of Kamala HQ that claimed we were lying for saying Trump’s plan is Project 2025.

Now Trump is outright admitting it’s his plan.

Legacy media failed the country.

If you're blaming the Democrats for the shutdown of a government that is run entirely by Republicans, why stop there?

Go wild, man. Blame the shutdown on leprechauns, or the Seattle Mariners, or maybe the cast of "She's the Sheriff."

You've decided facts don't matter, so have some fun with it!

I know we were all haters but this shit is worse than you can imagine.

I guess that’s kind of the point. Manmade horrors beyond our comprehension. Except there isn’t even a train wreck attraction to any of this because none of it is real.

There are no stakes and no status to be gained.

there are almost certainly more people — more blue collar laborers, specifically — involved in the cultivation and production of chardonnay grapes and wine than in coal
Energy Secretary Chris Wright on Fox: "We're announcing today expanded programs to help the American coal industry. We're helping it because for years it has been under assault. It was out of fashion with the chardonnay set in San Francisco, Boulder, and NYC ... coal just makes the world go round."

Interesting to note that the coal industry in the U.S. employs just a tad over 40,000 people, according to the BLS. The same source tells us that 64,000 people work at wineries.

So Democrats shouldn’t call Republicans fascist or gestapo or anything because that could provoke violence, but it is appropriate to call Democrats domestic terrorists or a domestic extremist organization.

Do I have that right?

It’s not so much the ICE disagreeing with me part as the ICE stealing children from their parents in the middle of the night and disappearing them part that makes them Nazis.

Just a reminder that armed, masked men snatching people up in unmarked vans on the orders of the president, the very top of the Republican Party, is political violence.
Vance: "When they encourage us to unmask ICE law enforcement officers, what do you think is gonna happen? ... what's gonna happen is political violence & it has gotten out of control in this country. We gotta stop it, we gotta condemn it, & that starts unfortunately at the very top of the Dem Party"

As a borderline doomer myself, I'm honestly surprised by Republican behavior lately. For all the bravado and literal control of the entire federal government, they genuinely act like a group who senses the end is near.
