Had a lot of fun with All You Need is Kill tonight. That said, it is indeed another adaptation of Sakurazaka’s novel, so don’t go in looking for a version of his Rita’s story.

Five vinegars. I have five and I need five.

Sometimes we really need to take stock of the wealth we already have.

For my own part, I got to pick between four different kinds of vinegar in my collection to put on my fried fish last night.

after a series of extremely tense calls with UPS customer service in which a rep threatened to "put the package back on the boat" I managed to get them to let me self-clear and avoid the 78 dollar charge, HUGE thank you to @cdrom.ca for linking me to this page goingawesomeplaces.com/how-to-avoid...

on netflix at least, they leave the Detective Conan post-OP sponsorship pauses in, which inevitably leads my brain to fill in the blanks, which leads my body to do this kind of dumb shit 😀

THIS. Did you know sickle cell is curable, now? FULLY curable.

If you're feeling down or despairing about what FEELS like technology/advancement/science "standing still" or being fully malicious, I have great news: You're not paying attention to actual science. Just tech industry marketing.
meanwhile.... medicine has taken INSANE leaps and bounds in the last 2 years.
we're out here curing HIV and leukemia and creating 100% efficacy vaccines against all sorts of cancers, and now this??

between this and renewable energy outstripping fossil fuels in efficiency, the future is bright
Wanna see real-life miracles? Fund scientific research.

A team of US scientists just cured Alzheimer’s in mice — and there is now hope that the disease can be reversed in humans.

For the record: when that day finally happens, I will not be blasting Celebration by Kool and the Gang or Ding Dong the Witch is Dead. It's going to be Ewok Celebration. I will not accept this Victory Celebration substitution; yet another reason why I don't own the Star Wars original films on BluRay
"Ewok Celebration", aka "Yub Nub" (which means "Freedom", take note Aretha), was replaced by "Victory Celebration" in the 1997 Special Edition of Return of the Jedi. It was written by John Williams, with lyrics by Joseph Williams, translated into Ewokese by Ben Burtt.
