When I have depressive episodes I resort to protein shakes because I can’t care enough or have enough energy to make real food and I have this vague sense I should make an effort at some nutrients. normally I love to cook and eat. So the idea of finding hack to side step it just seems wrong.

The lizard brain is an amazing thing. Now I like snakes, back in day I used to work as a herpetologist and I would go out look for snakes, but that rattle sound when you’re not expecting it and it’s really close has an electrifying effect on one’s nervous system.

I invented a new sport, the reverse standing long jump. Which I did upon hearing one rattle right beside my foot, I was trying to convince myself that I was hearing an insect but my lizard brain was having nothing to do with that and was moving me out and back. I was disappointed I didn’t see it.

And I would think quality/cut stewing beef needs to be cooked for a while before it’s nice and tender since fondue meat just goes into hot oil and then eaten it has to be good enough quality that it won’t be super tough with minimal cooking.
