Bad Habit the US “Healthcare” System Left Me With #378: Not testing needles.

You are supposed to test each needle before dosing, to make sure it’s working/the meds are flowing. I almost never do this.

Why? Because the US is SO EXPENSIVE and each test “wastes” a unit of insulin.

*sigh*

And well done to Zack for challenging Phillips smear that 'from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free' is antisemitic

Dear Early Writer Self,
As you were. You'll get there.

Learning to develop plots & characters with undiagnosed, unmanaged ADHD & autism took years. As did identifying mine & thus my chars sexualities, & neurodivergent status. While finding betas required joining the #WritingCommunity

#PretendPanel
See, I told you I wouldn't make it about romance, #pretendpanel 😜 so tell me...

February 14th: If you could send a kind, loving message to your earlier writer self, what would it be?

To give you an idea of how deranged the UK has become about gender stuff, here's Enid Blyton - the absolute avatar of classic English conservatism and a huge fan of racist "gollywogs" - casually describing a gender non-conforming kid in the 1940s and having their friends be totally cool with it.

Words cannot express the degree to which Valentine's Day messages from utterly random and day-unrelated businesses give me the absolute ICK.

Happy V-Day from Drain Snakes Ltd!

Like, seriously fuck right off 🤣

(Yes, I know some of you would LOVE to have your drains properly snaked, but still!)

in anticipation of Valentine’s Day, what did you and your partner do for a first date?

Dinner at VYNL in Hell's Kitchen, went to Midtown Comics, then made out in the rain in Bryant Park.
