Whether it's Donald Trump taking bribes from terror-sponsoring foreign governments, Donald Trump plotting to rig the 2026 election, or Donald Trump posting a video of the Obamas as apes, both parties must do better.

The US immigrant population generated more in taxes than they received in benefits from all levels of government every year from 1994 to 2023.

The Cato study provides the first-ever 30-year analysis of the fiscal effects of immigration on government budgets.

Dems are too afraid of sounding classist in the economic sense to make the obvious observation that the Trump GOP has leaned hard into being the part of trash. That’s their elevator pitch. Are you human garbage tired of being made to feel inferior to basically decent people? We’re on your side!
Trump minimizes domestic abuse during a talk at the Museum of the Bible: "Things that take place in the home, they call crime ... If a man has a little fight with the wife, they say this was a crime, see?"

In absolute earnest, I think terror of “elitism” has put a powerful vocabulary for describing what’s going on here out of play. These people are vulgar, thuggish, unsophisticated, crass, unschooled, unreflective. They are low in a sense that has nothing to do with income, & it’s fine to say so.
