one big issue ppl defending this seem to have missed is that *you don't know what else is out there about Platner.*
The first album I bought when I started my record collection this year was the one this is on.
not really a Halloween song but Halloween adjacent due to Tim Curry.

one of my favorite songs of the genre of listing celebrities and making it rhyme.

You think a guy with a NAZI TATTOO that he has BRAGGED ABOUT FOR YEARS while he was WORKING FOR BLACKWATER won’t sell out women???
So having Susan Collins continue to sell out America and particularly American women is better than a dude who made a poor choice in tattoo designs while in the Marine corps. Sure does seem like a purity test. Supported polices sure don't seem like fascism the way Collins does...
Ah, the movie that turned me bisexual. *happy sigh*

I always forget Tom Cruise was even in it.

Both the U.S. marshal and the immigrant were shot by federal officers. You’d never know that from this headline.

Just gonna remind people the bar is so low that even the Joker hates Nazis.

I’m glad that the Nazi tattoo is a line for people but just to be clear, “It’s women’s fault if they get raped” should have been.

How is this conversation happening about a FUCKING TOTENKOPF TATTOO

Some of y’all did all that shouting and walking on Saturday just to turn around on Tuesday and be like “But is the tattoo THAT bad??”

the thing is that even if - through some absolutely absurd, farcical set of circumstances I can’t even conceive - an innocent person did accidentally end up with a tattoo they only learned later was a Nazi symbol, the only appropriate response is “holy shit get me to the laser removal clinic TODAY”
one thing about racism is the way people will ignore the most likely explanation for something like having a Nazi tattoo for 20 years.

the most simple and obvious explanation was that he knew what it was and kept it. his excusers need to stop the embarrassing mental gymnastics.
Jewish Insider just sent out an email with an article with more Platner info. And yeah, this guy is DONE done.
You know one Major Way to tell if you’ve grown as a human being? YOU COVER UP YOUR FUCKING NAZI TATTOO OR GET IT REMOVED.

Shit, a lot of artists out there will cover those up for free just to give people who have grown and learned a way out.
Call me pollyanna... but I think perhaps he's grown as a human ... Janet Mills is the only other dem candidate that could beat Susie in the rural upstate areas...

Guys, there's no evidence ICE is buying guided warheads. The contract in question is for normal distraction devices, the kind they've been using for years.
I'm seeing a lot of people claiming ICE has guided warheads. This seems to be based on a Substack newsletter which as best I can tell was referring to this contract. This contract is for distraction devices (sound grenades), but the PSC is for guided warheads

Seems pretty simple—

If you’re the political party opposing the fascism, you shouldn’t field a candidate with a Nazi tattoo, regardless of how it got there.

“doesn’t have nazi tattoos” is actually an even lower bar than it appears at face value when you realize that most artists (correctly) won’t even *do* nazi tattoos, so you kind of have to go out of your way to find someone willing if you decide you want one.

You know, seeing liberals speak up louder in defense of a guy with a Nazi tattoo than any marginalized community in the past year shouldn't shock me at all, and yet it does. It really does.

I don’t understand why anyone’s debating this — a Nazi tattoo is a non starter, full stop.

This is a race for a U.S. Senate seat. The bar for candidates to clear doesn’t have to be insanely high, but it should at least be off the ground
I have a pentagram tattoo on my shoulder that was not done well. I have been tempted to have it covered over the years. Covering it up would maybe cost me a couple hundred bucks. If it were something way more problematic, I would have already covered it up.

This post is not about MY tattoos.
May you all feel as comfy as this warm snuggly child.

I need y’all to take five seconds and think about what it feels like to be a Jew whose family was massacred by people wearing this symbol and watch you analyze and debate this.
Why is this a debate? Why is this an analysis? Why are we discussing his motivations or the reasoning behind why he has it or why he kept it? (These are all rhetorical questions.)

Nazi tattoo = you’re done.

It’s literally that simple. There’s no nuance or further conversation needed.
