Souled American wasn’t the first band I interviewed, as I did a lot of that in college. And they weren’t the first musicians I interviewed professionally. Those were rap metal group 24/7 Spyz and cellist Hank Roberts. But Souled American was, in 1989, my third professional interview gig.

A heist movie written by Gillian Flynn that's also about how race, class and the laundering of crime into political clout work in Chicago, one that features Viola Davis playing Criminal Janeway and Daniel Kaluuya playing Anton Chigurh, should not be "underrated"

I know people like to dunk on wearing tiny "ICE OUT" pins, but I think they represent a really important culture shift. Even people who are very conscious about their image and expected to perform in a palatable way are wearing them in very public places.
