Also worth noting how much easier it is for cities like Amsterdam, Paris, and Barcelona to have better public transit since the cities are so much more compact. Our 5.5-mile Red Line Extension would be an entire crosstown line in Paris.
The entire cities of Amsterdam (red), Paris (blue), and Barcelona (purple) can fit inside Chicago.

Still haven’t gotten used to the fact that we have a president who frequently goes on insane, explicitly rants against vast swaths of people.

good concern about the “billionaire tax”
My concern is not so much the morality as its one-time-ness. Taxing wealth is good but we need to build up bureaucratic capacity on it. If it's happening once only, avoidance will pay even more than usual

Springfield is 60,000 with 15,000 of that population under threat of deportation (1/4th of the whole city.)
Springfield is 26 square miles. 1000 ICE agents is 40 agents per mile.
People are terrified. We need all the help we can get.

this particular line is maybe the best statement of purpose i have seen for those of us who want a more militant opposition to this administration
