Crowdsourcing here: a house I'm hopefully closing on has a huge detached garage. My goal is to subdivide the garage into two bars:
One will be an Irish Tiki speakeasy with Celtic symbology instead of purely Polynesian. The other will be a tailgate bar with TVs, but I need help picking a theme.
Something to think about: Elon's peons had unfettered access to a lot of data. I wonder if they fed it to Grok.
NEW: Elon Musk's Grok chatbot will, with minimal prompting, provide residential addresses of everyday Americans.

Prompts as simple as "[name] address" immediately returned accurate home addresses of private citizens — alongside other personal info we didn't ask for.

Anyone that gets caught by a speed camera shouldn't be driving because it's clear they're not watching the road
People complained so much about the speed cameras in Ontario, but not only were their numerous signs, but any car made in like the last decade would also TELL YOU were they were.
Cars these days warn you about police so speeders can avoid getting caught!?

Just heard Meta ad on sports radio begging people not to oppose AI data monoliths in their communities

Sure seems horribly unpopular! Weird how The Popularists aren’t writing NYT op-eds telling Dems to campaign against it!
Will Democrats continue siding with their megadonors as pro-AI, or do they want to win & hold tons of Congressional seats 🤔

The forced bus transfers are an underrated part of REM's success rather than inconvenience, and it's instructive to compare to PATCO: although they share similarities in land use and orientation, NJ Transit was never forced to divert its buses going direct to Philly; PATCO ridership never broke 40k

The refusal to consider DC Statehood is largely a reluctance to give DC two Senators, which itself is a tacit admission that the United States Senate is an anti-democratic institution.
Statehood for D.C. is an ethical obligation at this point, required to protect the rights of our residents to govern ourselves against such out-of-state troops being sent to patrol our city.
NEW: Republican-led states, in a new filing at the D.C. Circuit, say D.C. residents are irrelevant, D.C. belongs to everyone else. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

The filing is led by the South Carolina and West Virginia attorneys general. Both states sent troops to DC.

I would argue pretty strenuously that overreliance on nonprofits for social services is, in fact, a centrist position at best. NGO world cloaks itself in progressivism by adhering to cultural signifiers of social justice. Endless land acknowledgements as they take public jobs from union workers.
