Trying it out, I like it.
Visually, it’s sufficiently magical. And the act of zooming in still applies to gauge use of the magic slashes.
But RDM would benefit from having its melee kit be worth something at range. With actual risk reward for being at range, or just plain unique melee benefit.

Hate this rdm change but I can't say I didn't see it coming.
I don't play mmos outside this one, so maybe it's common in the genre, but in the few years I've been playing ffxiv it's become very clear that the game has a bizarre aversion to classes having unique strengths and drawbacks

"Ball and gun" gamers share the central appreciation for gameplay, their only sin is a limited palette.

1) in retrospect, that spinny lightsaber moment in Episdoe 3 feels like a riff on that one part, at least.
2) the bit about the name… reminds me of a moment in the Demon Slayer movie, where the upper moon asks for that one guy’s name.
Man I love movies.

The games industry brings in 300 billion dollars a year. The guy who made DOOM gets his projects canceled, the guy who made Katamari Damacy is broke, everyone in your feed is begging for a job and there are 50 new games coming out on Steam every day all going towards buying Gabe Newell's next yacht
