That's a good point by Dan, a USB connection is a great way to end up with a ground loop and a massive of interference. Reminder one of my projects unusable as I lacked the skills to break the loop.

I have a caveat about Consulting Detective. It should be a brilliant game but the abysmal English Language editing of the release I bought renders it infuriating and at a fundamental level leaves some cases unplayable. I don't know if they have fixed the flubs with a new printing or not.
