👇🎯 Also, for the very first time since Iran-Contra (if not 1865; bsky.app/profile/mcop...) , we actually have to send a bunch of senior elite individuals to jail & shame the rest forever from polite society & lucrative ex post sinecures at corporations, universities, think tanks, & media outlets.
Been thinking about how the government that follows Trump's must constantly demonstrate to both Americans and the world that Trumpism is over. The rule of law is nothing more than a series of expectations and as such, strong and obvious signals must be sent that this shit does not fly any longer.
Utterly unacceptable in a democracy. In a sane world, House Republicans would be drafting impeachment articles today and Senate Republicans would be preparing for a trial to convict and remove him from office

A group of families sued Colorado children's hospital for violating state anti discrimination law for stopping provision of gender affirming care under threats by the Trump admin. The court found they violated state law but found the risks to the hospital too large.

This. It would be really, really great if Democrats would start *consistently* calling out the way that the media is led around like f'ing children by the right-wing hate machine.

Don't just accept the frame. Call out the frame. Force viewers to confront the frame. It's so f'ing basic.
James Talarico: No one's ever asked me about the cost of housing. The only thing the media wants to ask me about are trans athletes.

The only minority destroying this country is the billionaires. Trans people are 1% of the population. We are all focused on the wrong 1%.

On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

During freezing temperatures in Port Arthur, Texas, a 61-year-old homeless man was found dead in his wheelchair outside a convenience store.

He was wearing a hospital gown and no shoes. Authorities say he had been released from a hospital the previous day.

This is a diseased society.

"The opinion released Thursday concluded that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith"

Here's my question: what's it going to take for the media to get to the same point and recognize that they can no longer take in good faith what is claimed by Trump admin officials?
🚨NEW: A federal judge out of Oregon has issued a sweeping rebuke of the DOJ’s nationwide push to seize state voter rolls.

The opinion released Thursday concluded that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith and warned that its conduct threatens voters and states’ rights.
Federal judge rules DOJ can ‘no longer’ be trusted in voter roll crusade
The judge pointed to a letter from Bondi to Minnesota that tied federal immigration enforcement to demands for voter data as the smoking gun.

🚨This is awesome!

Someone is taking the Base64 encoded text from the images of emails in the Epstein archive and reconstructing them so they can be Base64 decoded back into the original attachments. Things like Epstein party invitation lists may soon be public because the FBI is incompetent.

Hey @ronfilipkowski.bsky.social, remember all those vids you showed us of Trump signing executive orders where he had to be told what was in them? Turns out that's because they were all written by Stephen Miller and just presented to Trump to sign.

The main danger is not that Trump will steal the mid-terms (which would actually be difficult to do), but that he will be able to throw enough doubt on the results that he will be able to encourage his followers to react violently. This is exactly the tactic he used on J6.
