That reminds me, the new AI thing set up by the company I work for to generate driving routes? It does nothing. Not a sausage. No new routes for days.
All of the companies that make the software I use are increasing their prices, to account for an "investment" in AI.
I'm sat here imagining how my clients would feel if I added 30% to each invoice, because I "really got into gambling".

Today I saw a doctor whose first language was Ladino, and he spoke it a bit to me. Actually sort of had a conversation – I spoke Spanish, he spoke Ladino in return. It occurred to me later that hearing a native Ladino speaker is not something future generations will get to experience.

Alt text that that has humor and personality and sounds like it was written by the person who took the photo is great, but you gotta do that while remembering that the fundamental purpose is communicating what the image is.
