Once again,

If your gender is different from how you were assigned at birth, then you fall under the trans umbrella.

Whether you choose to use the term transgender to describe yourself is up to you.

90 FUCKING PERCENT

i’d love for cis folks to remember what the nyt, atlantic, guardian, daily mail, times of london, ny post, cnn, wall street journal, & economist took from your transgender neighbors & loved ones before the next time you consider giving them money or listening to a word they say.
It’s almost like when you don’t have a rabidly trans-hostile media ecosystem, people generally support human rights.

Yeah, cool.

Ableist language doesn't help anyone.

You can debunk bad science without using language that is regularly thrown at autistic people and people with intellectual disabilities.

Try harder.

I'm nonbinary but I can be a boy or a girl for the bit.

I'm not genderfluid or anything as far as I know, but I will adjust my gender if the funny requires it.
Yeah. It must suck for them to realize that their site is only successful because of all the people they don't like.
Apparently, everything gets the Rude tag now.

Bluesky is such a joke.

Disabled folks feeling guilty for not protesting today: *it is not your fault* that organizers don’t make an effort to make protests accessible and don’t encourage masking

And despite what folks on Bluesky would have you believe, there are MANY ways to resist and protests don’t have to be your way

Abled folks who masked today: THANK YOU for caring about your fellow citizens’ health and safety. Your masking in and of itself is resistance.
A smattering of n95s and other masks at Rockridge, Oakland. We stood masked at the edge, but not disabled.

Please remember that many disabled people won’t be at the No Kings rallies tomorrow.

A lot of the planned events are not accessible and/or disabled people are not safe or well enough to attend.

Anything you can do to increase accessibility and inclusion will help the resistance!

"Non-binary AMAB person."

"Non-binary AFAB person."

As a non-binary person who hates to be reduced to my AGAB, please shut the fuck up.

This is just misgendering with extra steps.

Me:
Here is a test anyone can take to get *context* & *perspective* about Autistic traits when they ask “doesn’t everyone do that?”

Internet Strangers:
“Only professional diagnosticians can diagnose ASD!!!”
Ppl who read about a Autistic trait often don’t have *context* & ask:

“that sounds like something everyone does, doesn’t that mean everyone’s Autistic?”

1st, having a *single* Autistic trait doesn’t mean a person is Autistic.

2nd, we recommend you take the RAADS-R test if want larger context.
RAADS–R | Embrace Autism
The RAADS–R is a questionnaire designed to assist clinicians with the diagnosis of autistic adults who often “escape diagnosis” due to a subclinical level presentation.

Neurotypicals have meaningful relationships by talking about meaningless topics?

Wouldn't it be better to talk about stuff they actually care about?

Nothing they do makes any sense.
If they're sucking up to venture capitalists, have no morals, and don't care if people die, then yeah. They probably would.

Tech is a horrible field. I don't recommend it.

As promised, if you’re inspired by the march today but don’t know how else to get involved, how to sustainably fight fascism, that can look a few different ways. Here’s a thread of thoughts, short of nationwide withholding of labor / sustained protest:

So far this month we’ve distributed:

8 tents
5 carts

$2,770 in direct cash aid
$1,000 for an ICE bond
$600 for eviction prevention
$3,973 in utility debt relief

& helped fundraise $2k+ for an unhoused neighbor evicted from their camp

We need help restocking tents!:

Ronald Reagan and his wife were racist, homophobic pigs who happily watched people they didn't like perish in agony. They promoted ignorance and hatred. There isn't a single instance when they should be held-up as people who were correct about anything, because it likely happened by accident.

This is only going to place people like me in even more harm, as both a trans woman and a survivor of domestic violence.

If I haven't said it before, I will now. Fuck the EHRC.
Just one vile feature of the draft EHRC code.

Trans-inclusive feminist women's services would have to screen eligibility of survivors and be forced to reject trans women and any who can't prove "biological sex."

Non-compliance could lead to lawsuits from well-funded trans-hostile pressure groups.🤬

The ironic thing is that every report card I got from high school had the same comment: "Your child has more potential than he/she uses." I.E. I was lazy.

I believed it.

Turns out I wasn't lazy--far from it. I put in more work than most who didn't have a disability.

Labels...
Most of my schooling, I was treated as having no labels.

I graduated HS barely -- in the bottom 25% of my class. Not through lack of ability, but because of not knowing I have ADHD+Autism.

I just completed a B.A. (my second). I had a 4.0.

The change *WAS HAVING THE LABEL*.

Labels aren't bad.

Because we’re powerful and deep down, they know it. Still sucks, though!
Being trans and being autistic have a very annoying experience in common.

Having people who aren't us constantly talking about us. They know nothing of our lives, yet they never shut up about us.

Do none of them have their own lives to worry about? Why are they all up in ours?

17 Oct 2025 -- Trump admin is going to make airlines guess the gender of international traveler who present passports with an "X" designation because US Customs and Border Protection will still require a binary input into its systems. @rikiwilchins.bsky.social
President will now force airlines to guess passengers' genders if they have X gender markers - LGBTQ Nation
US customs will no longer accept X gender markers in their system despite people still having those passports.

US Government accounts have arrived on Bluesky.

Block on sight.

Protect your digital space.

Be aware that the DHS account in particular is known to quote dunk on regular people to encourage their followers to harass them.

The detach quote function will come in very handy here…
